NASPO Emergency Prepardness

Over the past few months, I have been involved with a NASPO committee. One of our projects was to prepare a paper on the role of procurement in emergency events. The intent of the paper was to provide guidance to procurement offices when impacted by an event. The paper has been completed and has been distributed by NASPO. Although the paper is written toward state level procurement offices, it is applicable to any governmental procurement office, especially since local governments will be the first responders to the event.
I have attached a copy of the paper for your review and consideration to distributing to your respective membership (CO-OPP, OINK and SWOP4G). Hopefully you will find it a useful tool.
